Stone Towers Renaissance Faire

This park was spectacular and the facilities were excellent. We had a great time at this event and hope to see it grow in the future. Rain was an unfortunate factor in the afternoons and the nearby town sort of shut down around 7:30 pm. The nearest Wal-Mart is a good 10 miles away.

Our booth is a work in progress, well have a bit more decoration up in the future. We'll also be adding more tables and display units. Please watch for our upcoming line of products geared for the SCA.

The drive to and from the park was very long for us, but we think the event well worth attending.

    Ocean Springs Ren Faire

Monday, May 5, 2008, 08:14 PM CST [General]

There was the traditional rain again this year at Ocean Springs. The new site was flooded inches deep in the aftermath of heavy storms. How pleasantly surprising that the field drained away so very very quickly without bogs or mudholes of any kind. An hour after the rain finally quit, conditions were quite firm.

Of course, when the clouds went away the sun came out, and with 100% humidity, everyone attending Saturday evening was treated to a free sauna. Very good for the complexion.

Sunday had a relatively good turnout. The site is a bit off the main roadway and parking is limited, but the event was so good it was well worth walking a few blocks to come to the Faire.

The jousting was particularly touching, being dedicated to the memory of the lady who first made it possible for the Knights of Valor to come to Ocean Springs. The SCA fighters also made a very good show for the crowd who stayed to be enchanted by the lovely bellydancers.

Many thanks to Michele Hale the vendor coordinator who wears many hats for making this event a smooth operation. This is a comfortable, friendly and fun event for vendors and customers alike.
